At the heart of this ring is a wonderful peach coloured moonstone with a characteristic white sheen, held in a finely millegrained mount in warm yellow gold with delicately scrolled shoulders. The distinctive sheen of the moonstone is known as adularescence, and is caused by light interacting with the layered structure of the moonstone’s crystal. In this case it’s a particularly well-centred sheen of soft white, combining with the beautiful body colour of the moonstone to create a stone of unusual charm, seemingly lit from within.
